Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy, also known as cold chamber therapy or cold therapy, is a treatment method that involves exposing the body to extremely low temperatures. This usually occurs in specially designed cold chambers or rooms where the temperature is greatly reduced, often to below -100 degrees Celsius. Cryotherapy has spread into the sports medicine, rehabilitation and wellness industries.

Treatment process

Cryotherapy is carried out in special cold chambers or rooms. During treatment, the patient often wears only light clothing, protective clothing and gloves to minimize exposure to the extremely low temperatures. The duration of the treatment varies, but is usually between two and three minutes. During this time the body is exposed to extreme cold.

To book an appointment for your physiotherapy, you have two options. You can do this conveniently via our booking tool on our website under the “Physiotherapy general” option. Alternatively, you can call us directly to make an appointment.

Please note that the costs of physiotherapy prescribed by a doctor are usually covered by your health or accident insurance. If you come to us without a doctor's referral, self-pay prices are CHF 85 for a 30-minute treatment.
